General
- Do I need a prescription to order?- You don’t need an existing prescription to use our service. Our clinicians will issue a free private prescription if you’re eligible for treatment.
- How do I place an order?- Find the type of treatment you’re looking for and start a consultation. We’ll ask you some questions about your health and recommend the best treatments for you. Once you’ve selected your treatment a clinician will review your answers and issue a prescription if you are eligible.
- Are the medications you prescribe genuine?- Yes, we use the same pharmaceutical suppliers and wholesalers as traditional pharmacies. All treatments are fully UK-licensed.
- Why is it important to use a registered pharmacy?- Using unregulated online pharmacies can be dangerous—some sell counterfeit or unsafe medicines without proper checks. Always verify the GPhC registration and be cautious.
- How are weight loss injectables delivered?- Once approved, injectable treatments will be sent directly to you in special refrigerated packaging to keep them fresh. At checkout, we’ll display only the delivery methods relevant to you.
Delivery
- What countries do you deliver to?- We deliver to the United Kingdom, including the Scottish Highlands and Northern Ireland.
- Do I need to be at home to sign for my delivery?- For most prescription medicines, a signature is required on delivery to make sure your medicines are safely received. If you’re not home, you can rearrange delivery. - For cold chain items, someone needs to be present at the property to accept the delivery.
- How quickly can I get my prescription medication- Once a prescription is approved, your order can usually be dispatched within 24 hours. - Please note that all delivery timescales begin once your treatment has been approved and dispatched, not from the time you place your order.
- Can I track my delivery?- Yes. Once your order has been dispatched, you’ll receive a tracking link so you can follow your package every step of the way.
Medicines
- What if I experience side effects or problems with my medicine?- Check the patient information leaflet for common side effects. - Contact your GP, a local pharmacy, or our team if you experience any side effects with your treatment. Seek immediate medical attention if side effects are severe, and call 999 if they’re life-threatening.
Prescriptions
- Can I get repeat prescriptions?- Yes. Wellmeds can provide repeat prescriptions if approved by your prescriber. You’ll be prompted to complete a short consultation each time to ensure the medication is still safe and suitable for you.
